Congratulations to Paul Grohs who defeated Mark Callahan late Sunday afternoon 186-113 to capture his third Pro-Tour Star!!! It definitely wasn't an easy road for Paulie, who qualified tied for the last two spots to get into Sunday's divisional rounds. He was tied with Luke Robustelli and Walt Brooks and was forced to bowl a roll-off with them early Sunday Morning but managed to get into the last and final spot for Sunday...Paul then went 5-0 in his division shooting 807 scratch pinfall to get the #2 Seed on the ladder...He defeated Steve Iavarrone in his first match 149-128, then met Callahan for the final match in which he defeated Mark fairly easily 186-113...Paulie took home his Third Star and the Top Prize of $10,000!!! Congratulations Paul!...For more results and scores from the recent weekend at Longmeadow Bowl in Hagerstown, check out the DPBA Website at www.dpba.org...
Colin Dunnack Wins the BAC Series Finals at Highland Bowl to become Champion of Connecticut in 08/09!!!
Congratulations!!! to Colin Dunnack who became this year's Champion of the Series Finals...Colin bowled his way and won through the Divisional Matchups and the Ladder, where he was seeded number one, quite easily...He went 5-0 with 890 in the Divisional Matches and defeated No. 3 Seed Art Morin in the final match of the day 185 (168+17) to 153 (115+38)...This tops Colin's most successful month as he also finished a very impressive third place in the Pro Tour held earlier this month at Highland Bowl...Second Place went to Art Morin, who did make quite a dramatic run in his division and ladder matches until he met up with Top Seed Colin...Third went to Tony Quinn, who also made quite a run, since he was 32nd in the finals standings and then called upon to be the second alternate... Congratulations to all of the bowlers that made the finals this year and made it as successful as it has been from years past...Also, a special thanks for Highland Bowl and Todd Turcotte for hosting this event!...The complete wrapup of the Finals have been posted below...
