To all BAC members,
Two more tournaments on our schedule have past by us, including the Theresa Belniak and the 'Hippo' Correnti Memorial Tournaments...
At Theresa's tournament, we had an amazing turn out with 98 entries, 2 shy of that 100...maybe next year. Hopefully it shows the love and honor for T and Mary Ann, for it to be as successful as it was...Rick Eseppi had a hot hand again when he entered for the second time, which turned out great for him as he went by the leaders to take 1st place...I personally think that the scores up at Perillo's were fairly high, best from what I've seen this year, and think that it will make for an exciting BAC Series Finals in May...And yes, the series finals are officially slated for May 8th...
Then on the most recent 'Valentine's Day' weekend tournament the Hip Correnti Memorial...At first we looked like a struggle for entries by late Thursday, but by the end of Sunday we did alright with 56 total entries...The lanes gave most bowlers who consistently were in the pocket 8 and 9 drops, as strikes were hard to come by for some. If you made your spares and filled them well, you were golden. Strikes were a bonus... And by the last shift, we had a new winner in Chris Ganoe who, with his handicap scored 850...The revitalized Ed Dunnack and BAC runner up from last year Art Morin finished 2nd and 3rd...
The Series Standings are getting better defined, but it still looks like it will be a fight to get in the last few spots...Highland Bowl and the Good Friday Tournament seem to draw alot of entries which gives these bowlers needing points a chance to mark May 8th on their calendar. At the same time, it's the last chances for bowlers for the 'Gambling, Gas or Grub' Promotion that we have promoted for the entire season...It should be pretty exciting to see who wins the big prizes!...
Hopefully everyone is doing well in their start of their second halves of their leagues. And hopefully we don't see any more snow to shovel and drive in...Spring is right around the corner, just not here yet. Good luck to all bowling in the Eastern Classic, and hope to see all at the upcoming tournaments at Highland Bowl and Barnum Lanes this March and April...
