Brian Ewing holds onto his lead with a 10th place finish at the Correnti Memorial
Connecticut- Brian Ewing had another good tournament finish with a 10th place finish at Holiday Lanes. He now has a total of 253 points after six BAC Series events. He is followed by Colin Dunnack and Erik Pellett. The up to date BAC Series Standings will be posted soon so stay posted.
Pete Signore's record still stands in the record books 20 years after his 279 at T-Bowl...
Connecticut- Pete Signore will have held the record for a single game in duckpin bowling for twenty years this season. The BAC remembers back to 1992 for Pete's 279 game...A small writeup is on our Tournament Page
Chris Ganoe wins the Hip Correnti BAC Series Stop at Holiday Lanes this past weekend!

Manchester, Connecticut- The BAC would like to congratulate Chris Ganoe of North Windham on winning this past weekend's BAC Series Stop #6 at the Holiday Lanes. His final score with his handicap was 873. Chris's scores were 135- 141-182-134-139 for 731 scratch. This is the second time in two years Chris has won, both at Holiday Lanes. Back in 2010, he won this same event. Great bowling by Chris as we congratulate him on his victory.
Second place went to Bryan Miller of Manchester who had a final score of 861 and scores of 149-151-135- 166-152 for 753 scratch.
Third place went to Gaby Pena of East Hartford who had a final score of 845 and scores of 132-192-126- 114-139 for 703 scratch.

The tournament drew 61 total entries. The high scratch set was Colin Dunnack who had 755 as he finished tied for 5th. The BAC would like to thank Holiday Lanes and their staff for hosting this event again, for Mary Ann Cochefski for running the tournament over the weekend, and to all of the bowlers that came out and supported the tournament. Next BAC Series Stop will be at Highland Bowl on March 24-25. BAC Series Standings will be posted ASAP. The complete results from the Correnti Tournament are below.
Tony Quinn wins Theresa Belniak Memorial shooting 852 scratch with 201 game!
Waterbury, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Tony Quinn on winning this weekend's BAC Series Stop at Perillos in Waterbury. He shot a super 852 scratch pinfall winning by 38 pins. Tony's games were 165-155- 148-201 -183. With 60 handicap pins he finished with a total score of 912.
Second place went to Erik Pellett who finished with an 874 total. Erik had 803 scratch with games of 164-161-177- 151-150. Third place was Brian Ewing who finished with 855 total. Brian had 750 scratch with games of 147-155-134 150-164.
The tournament had a total of 45 entries, with the majority of bowlers coming on Sunday with the storm on Saturday. The BAC would like to thank all of the bowlers that entered the tournament. We would also like to thank Perillo's Bowl-O-Drome and their staff for hosting this very special event once again. And to Mary Ann Belniak as tournament director for this tournament. Brandon Ganoe wins the Nick Tronsky Memorial at Holiday Lanes with 882!
Manchester, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Brandon Ganoe on winning the Nick Tronsky Memorial Tournament, which was completed this weekend. Brandon's scores were 141-134-141-169-159 for a total scratch score of 744. With his handicap pins of 138 he finished with a total of 882.
Finishing second was Brian Ewing who had a scratch score of 733. His scores were 140-178-153-144-118. With his 105 handicap pins, Brian finished with 838.
Third place went to Colin Dunnack with 820 (742 + 78), Fourth was Luke Robustelli with 812 (749 + 63) and Fifth was Kris Semararo with 809 (716 + 93).
Erik Pellett rolls an incredible 881 scratch to win the Swede Lavers Tournament!
Stratford, Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Erik Pellett on his win this weekend at Barnum Lanes for the Swede Lavers Memorial. Erik shot 881 scratch and with his 71 handicap pins finished with 952. His games were 138-200 -191-217-135...It was an amazing middle three games that added up to 608.
Second place went to Kelly Dansereau who had 886. Third place went to Rick Ganoe who had 864. Rounding out the top 5 were Al Decamillo Jr. (863) and John T Zikis (842)...Results are posted below.

First Weekend of The Eastern Duckpin Classic returns to Lucky Strike Lanes this weekend!
Mansfield, Connecticut- The Lucky Strike Lanes will host the first weekend of the 82nd Frank Barber Memorial Eastern Classic tournament this upcoming weekend, February 25 & 26 and next weekend, March 3 & 4. It is a twelve game mens event, as bowlers will all compete for two days in two six game 'blocks' with the total scratch pinfall taking first place. Some of the best duckpin bowlers from North and South including Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland and Virginia will be competing. All are welcome to watch some exciting duckpin action starting this weekend!
Last year's 81st Eastern Classic had a total of 123 entries. The champion of last years tournament and who will be once again defending his title was Connecticut's Colin Dunnack of Mansfield, CT with a score of 1892. His two blocks includes six game sets of 931 and 961 with the highest game being a 209. It was quite a spectacular weekend for Colin as he earned the win at home.
Tournament dates will be held on the weekend of February 25th and 26th and on the weekend of March 3rd and 4th. Block times are on the tournament flyer. Entree fee is $80 with optional pools available for those bowlers interested. Guaranteed first place prize is $2000. All male
bowlers that are interested may contact Lucky Strike lanes to reserve their spot (upon deposit), Dara Dominique, tournament director at dedominique@aol.com or mail in the attached flyer which is mailed to past bowlers who have entered. All information is on the attached flyer for the event.

The 5th annual Adult Challenge Matches to be held at Fun Squared (T-Bowl) in July
Newington, Connecticut - Fun Squared (T-Bowl) Lanes will be hosting the 5th annual Adult Challenge Matches on July 21-23. This is a great event held every year attended by twenty four 5-person teams representing Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maryland.
This year the event will be capped at 24 teams. The tournament was completely filled up last year so an early entree fee will reserve your spot.The preliminary flyer is attached below.

Erik Loteczka wins Ann Schmitter Memorial by shooting 809 scratch at Lucky Strike Lanes!
Mansfield, Connecticut- The BAC would like to congratulate Erik Loteczka on winning this weekend's Ann Schmitter Memorial Tournament held at Lucky Strike Lanes. Erik had a total score of 865 to win by one pin over John Devanno, who had 864. His scores were 202-130-153-157-167 for 809 scratch. Great bowling by Erik all around.
John Devanno finished Second with scores of 140-119 -163-127-180 for 729 scratch. With his handicap of 135 pins he finished with 864.
Erik Pellett and Brian Ewing both finished tied for Third Place with 848. Erik had 777 scratch (+71) for 848, while Brian had 743 scratch (+105) for 848.

Jason Smith earns the #1 ranking in the both the State of Connecticut and the Country!
Connecticut - The BAC would like to congratulate Connecticut's own Jason Smith for becoming the #1 ranked male duckpin bowler in the country this past season. He is the first male to rank #1 from Connecticut since Swede Lavers did it in 1987-1988. The BAC would like to congratulate Jason on his superb bowling last year.
